Time Out says

Looking for a good book (or three) to keep you company during this long, dark winter? The Brooklyn Book Bodega will have you stocked up this season and beyond with a free community day on Saturday, February 3, inviting adults and kids over the age of 10 to come sift through a collection of well-loved and overstock books and take home as many as you can carry (approximately 100 books, FYI).

Held at the Brooklyn Book Bodega’s warehouse facility at Brooklyn Navy Yard (141 Flushing Ave, Suite 407), the event is free to attend but you do need to register to sign up for a 45-minute “shopping” slot. Don’t forget to bring a bag or suitcase to take home all of your new stories.

Though the books are free, you can donate to help fund the non-profit’s worthy cause: the Brooklyn Book Bodega works to increase literacy and provide books to individuals, schools and community members throughout NYC.
