Time Out says

On December 21, Flatfoot Flatbush is back, with its signature mix of dancers, fiddlers and pickers parading down the sidewalks of Park Slope’s Flatbush Avenue and playing old-timey tunes while flatfooting, a form of percussive dancing from Appalachia. It's a part of Make Music New York's Winter Solstice Celebration.

The spirited afternoon will kick off with a warm up and quick flatfooting workshop hosted by Megan Downes at 2pm, followed by the official parade down Flatbush, stopping at local businesses along the way. The parade will finish off at the 6th Avenue Triangle at 4pm, with participatory contra and square dances. And, of course, there will be an indoor after-party starting at 5:30pm featuring even more music and dance, and an open jam led by the Flatfoot Flatbush Band.
