But don’t say “Expelliarmus” or your friend’s wand may go flying through the shop! 

Take flight on a broomstick

Take to the skies over Hogwarts, soar alongside the Knight Bus and seek the Golden Snitch during a Hogwarts Quidditch match! Fly a broomstick over enchanting locations from the wizarding world—just as the cast did during filming—and experience behind-the-scenes magic from the making of the Harry Potter movies.

Relish in sweets at the Confectionary

The store features a full Butterbeer Bar where you can try the drink on draft, in a bottle or even as ice cream. Enjoy this frothy, butterscotch-flavored beverage as the bottles come alive and float above you, adding to the truly mystical feel of the store. While each batch of butterbeer is made and brewed in the United Kingdom, Harry Potter New York offers an exclusive bottle inspired by the Magical Congress of the USA introduced in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Like the exclusive Butterbeer bottles, the Harry Potter New York store is full of exclusive merchandise from Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts that you can only snag in person. It all starts at the Flagship entrance, where a 220-pound Fawkes hangs in the sky. From there, you can browse the store to grab something for every kind of fan. There’s a special “Dark Arts” corner of the store that features items from the Ministry of Magic and Azkaban, a massive archway made of books you can purchase like Quidditch Through The Ages and a section called “Things That Must Be Named,” where you can customize all of your Harry Potter items, from engraving your wand to embossing your journal.

At the center of the store, you will discover the Atrium of Awe, the staircase that usually protects Dumbledore’s office. Standing at the top of the Atrium, you can take a photo of the entire store below. You can also grab a photo on an enchanted broomstick—perched in front of a green screen that makes it seem like you’re flying through the sky.
