Time Out says

And just like that, Labor Day weekend is upon us. Instead of scrambling, and ultimately ending up at a dead bar (or worse, bored stuck at home), The General Public has something for you. Made for dope people, by dope people, the Brooklyn-based event production is throwing its annual Labor Day BBQ bash with a musical guest guaranteed to get the party started.

Kicking off the long weekend, DOPE BBQ is coming back to Brooklyn this Friday, August 30 for an all-day affair. Held at the open-air street museum, Coney Island Art Walls, the party will bring the vibes with music guaranteed to make you sweat—and all the barbecue, burgers and various bites, likely to give you the meat sweats.

A lineup of musical guests and DJs will be hitting the stage, sprinkled in with a few surprise performers. Rapper-turned-mogul 50 Cent will headline to event. And if you need to refuel alongside all the dancing, there will be plenty of barbecue and bars throughout the venue. And to really get the party started, opt for the open bar running from 3pm to 8pm.

Keep in mind, the party starts at 3pm. So we aren't recommending you sneak out early to get ahead of the long weekend, but if you do, we won't tell.

Dope BBQ will be held at Coney Island Walls in Brooklyn from 3pm to 10pm. Buy your tickets here
