"Design with the Other 90%: Cities"

Following up on 2007's "Design for the Other 90%," which offered solutions to poverty-stricken countries, Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum mounts this exhibition examining 60 socially responsible projects across 22 nations. Photographs on view depict Bangladesh's Floating Community Lifeboats, which provide solar power, and a large oven in Nairobi, Kenya, that generates power from trash.
