Time Out says

Q: What do you get when you combine booze and ice cream? A: An alcohol-infused scoop that’s sure to raise your spirits. At Tipsy Scoop Brooklyn, adults 21 and over can participate in a variety of mixology workshops where they learn to recreate some of Tipsy Scoop’s most iconic sundaes, cakes, and ice cream cocktails. In the Ice Cream Cocktail Mixology class, students will spend a few hours learning more about the history of the shop as they sample seasonal flavors and make their own cocktails. Some of their most popular flavors include Chocolate Whiskey Salted Caramel, Cake Batter Vodka Martini, and Mango Margarita Sorbet.

There is also a Boozy Ice Cream Making class for anyone interested in learning to make their own alcohol-infused treats at home. Participants will learn to make one of Tipsy Scoop’s delectable ice cream flavors in a commercial-grade ice cream maker and sample a refreshing sorbet cocktail. After this 90-minute workshop, students will leave with two pints of their creation after tasting some additional seasonal flavors.

In addition to their Brooklyn location, New York-based Tipsy Scoop “barlours” can also be found in Manhattan, Long Beach, and Queens. They are also adding more locations nationwide in Portland, Phoenix, and Washington D.C. Their products are also available for local, same-day delivery, and pints are available in grocery stores across the country. Tipsy Scoop is also available for catering and private events.

Courses at the Tipsy Scoop typically receive rave reviews. They are a great choice for a fun day out with friends or a special occasion like bachelor/bachelorette parties and birthdays. The experience is reportedly fun and entertaining, with instructors working hard to maintain a laid-back environment. Students felt they got a good value for their money with the numerous samples, with the products they got to take home being the proverbial cherry on top.
