Photographer BriAnne Wills's gorgeous photo series shows the sweet bond between women and their furry pals

Fashion photographer BriAnne Wills is stylish, talented and well traveled—and she's also a cat lady. She wanted to show that women who own cats aren’t the typical crazy shut-in stereotype. “I haven’t seen any focus on girls or women with their cats, especially not attractive and stylish women,” says Wills, who’s shot for Nylon, Opening Ceremony and Refinery29. “We’ve seen the other side of the spectrum.” Wills’s passion project, Girls and Their Cats, was born, and a Tumblr, Instagram and Facebook page soon followed. The initial series was just 20 photos, but Wills—who rescued her and her husband’s two cats, Tucker and Liza, from the Ukraine—has seen such a positive response she’s keeping the project going for now. If you’d like to be photographed with your kitty, you can reach Wills at briannewills@gmail.com.
