The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is exploring sounds in space with an event that will take attendees on a tour from Earth's atmosphere, to other planets and the Sun, to learn about various sounds in space. Dr. Alexa Halford, a research scientist and the associate chief of the ITM Physics Laboratory, and Dr. Kristine Sigsbee, an assistant research scientist in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Iowa, will discuss their work together studying NASA sound files and data from space. Viewers will also get the chance to hear some amazing sounds from the universe along with different sound clouds of space and our solar system. A pre-show will take place at 5pm with a live demonstration from an Intrepid Museum educator.
