Adopt a Lucky Charm

Try your luck at adopting a pup from March 16-17 at Best Friends Animal Society in downtown Manhattan. From 12pm to 6pm for two days, you can draw a paper from a pot of gold to find out your adoption fee, with costs ranging from $25 to totally free if you get lucky. If you're more of a cat person, though, cat adoption fees have been completely waived at the shelter for the entire month.
