The37th Annual Queensboro Arm-Wrestling Championship looks to be a real…wait for it…arms race. Men and women will compete (separately) to be the king or queen of the Queensboro arm-wrestling scene, battling forearm to forearm for a shot at cash prizes and bragging rights. The showdown takes place at Cheap Shots, a rough-and-tumble sports bar that could very easily be ripped straight out of an All in the Family episode. It doesn’t offer food, but there’s a “whole bunch” of “really good cheap places” nearby, and you can “totally fuckin’ bring their food in,” according to its very interesting and colorful owner. Feel like signing up? Show up before 1pm, and pay the $25 ($30 if you’re a professional) sign-up fee for your chance at greatness—or at the very least pretending you’re Sylvester Stallone in Over the Top for two rounds of arm wrestling. Although the best make it look easy, arm wrestling is a lot more difficult than it seems!
