Working: A Musical

Encores! Off-Center's very smart Artistic Director, Anne Kauffman, helms the first concert staging of the summer series: a look back at Nina Faso and Stephen Schwartz’s 1977 Off Broadway musical, adapted from Studs Terkel's book of oral histories about labor in America.  Along with the show's original songs (by Schwartz, James Taylor, Craig Carnelia, Mary Rodgers and others), the show includes two recent additions by Lin-Manuel Miranda. The cast includes Andréa Burns, Christopher Jackson, Tracie Thoms, Javier Muñoz, David Garrison, Mateo Ferro and Oscar winner Helen Hunt.
