New Perspectives Theatre Company offers its 13th annual showcase for female playwrights, divided into two programs performed in rep. This year's edition, titled Emergence, is devoted to plays that engage with the current social and political landscapes, especially as they relate to the COVID pandemic and the new White House administration. Program A includes Queen Esther's That's What Happened, Rebekah Lopatto's Bad Koreans and Jeana Scotti's Candy Girls; and Program B includes Makaela Shealy-Sachot's Earthshine and Mary Glen Fredrick's Anarchy. All five shows are featured in each of the two performances on Saturday, August 14.
