In this Next Wave Festival offering, Brazilian director Christiane Jatahy gives you Three Sisters twice: as a theater piece performed in a small space and as a filmed version of that same piece, edited in real time by Jahaty. Set in modern-day Rio, this version of Chekhov's play focuses exclusively on the titular trio. (Performances are in Portuguese, with English subtitles.)
