What Did You Expect?

Prolific writer-director Richard Nelson builds on the success of his Apple Family play cycle with a new trilogy about the Gabriels—the Apples' neighbors in upstate New York—pegged to major moments in the 2016 election year. The first play, Hunger, opened in March; this is the second. The ensemble cast includes Maryann Plunkett, Jay O. Sanders and Roberta Maxwell.
