Liza Minnelli, Gwen Verdon, Chita Rivera, Dorothy Loudon and Raquel Welch in one fantastic medley? Say yes, just like Liza does—after struggling with a shoe and laughing it off charmingly—in the sequence's first number, "Yes," from Kander and Ebb's 70, Girls, 70. Then take a trip back to Chicago's "Nowadays," as performed by the musical's peerless original stars. (A particular pleasure: the shock reveal of Verdon's huge pouf of red hair.) Take a breather while Welch twinkles amiably through The Act's "City Lights," and then get ready for the pure joy of Loudon's magically flouncy take on Follies's "Broadway Baby." When people say that the Tonys used to be classier and better, they're very often wrong—but in this case, it's hard to dispute the point.
