National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene follows the success of its revivals of Fiddler on the Roof and The Golden Bride with this staging of a previously lost Yiddish operetta: Abraham Goldfaden's 1878 musical fairy tale Di Kishefmakherin, one of the first Yiddish theater works produced in the United States. This version, based on archival orchestral arrangements and performed with English and Russian supertitles, is directed by Motl Didner.
