The Little Mermaid

Young theatergoers won't find an onstage rendition of the Disney film in Literally Alive's stage musical: Librettist Brenda Bell and composer Michael Sgouros have stuck more closely to Hans Christian Andersen's original story. The performance features a heroine named Coral and an evil diva, the Fish Witch, who performs the Vegas-style, blacklight number "Misunderstood." A live percussion ensemble and eye-popping costumes spice up the underwater adventure.
