The Gentleman Rests

Dave Ruder's chamber opera depicts the 2001 legislative session at which members of the Black Congressional Caucus attempted to halt certification of the Florida vote to protest minority disenfranchisement in the 2000 election. This concert version is performed by five vocalists and four instrumentalists.
