The Fartiste

A 2006 Fringe Festival hit, Charlie Schulman and Michael Roberts's musical looks at Joseph Pujol, whose musical flatulence made him a star of Gay Paree in the 1890s. Kevin Kraft plays the fart star, and Steven Scott bleats the sound effects. But the joke runs out of gas early on, and at Off Broadway prices this show doesn't cut it.—Adam Feldman
