The Dark Stone

Director Ignacio García-Bustelo and his company, AENY – Spanish Artists in New York, present the NYC premiere of Alberto Conejero’s two-person drama. The play, which imagines the unexpected connection between a prisoner and his guard, is inspired by the captivity of Rafael Rodriguez Rapún, Federico García Lorca's lover, during the Spanish Civil War; in this production, the roles are played by a Ukrainian actor, Zenon Zeleniuch, and a Belarusian one, Andrew KoGolenok. Performances are in Gary J. Racz's English translation, with the original Spanish text in subtitles.
