Enjoy a night of performances from musicians to actors from theater, television, and film— including Kathleen Chalfant, Margaret Cho, Tokala Clifford, Alan Cumming, Kimberly Guerrero, Michael Kelly, Jody Long, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Arian Moayed, Tracey Ullman and Alfre Woodard—celebrating some of the most important speeches to have happened in The Cooper Union’s Great Hall, which has stood as a bastion of free speech and a witness to the flow of American history and ideas since 1858. The Concert for Cooper benefit will help to keep it as a destination for serious discussion and assist in the plan to return to free tuition for all undergraduate students, organizers say. With musical performances by The Broadcast, Amy Engelhardt, Ben Folds, Jen Malenke, Kimberly Marable, Doña Oxford, David Wain with Bobby Cannavale and Aléna Watters.
