The avant-garde auteur Richard Foreman died earlier this year at the age of 86, but the theatrical séance masters of the Wooster Group help keep his spirit alive with a reinvention of his 1988 work Symphony of Rats, in which the President of the United States receives strange messages from an unknown source. As if Forman's work weren't gnomic enough—Hint: It is—this version turns the text into verse and sets it in a complex web of video and sound. Wooster dieties Elizabeth LeCompte and Kate Valk direct the production, which features Ari Fliakos, Jim Fletcher, Niall Cunningham, Andrew Maillet, Michaela Murphy and Guillermo Resto. Expect extremely precise confusion.
