Vampire Cowboy's latest foray into nerd-affirmation theater feels less cleverly constructed than usual. As a woman tries to enter the Dungeons & Dragons world of her late sister, homicidal fairies and rabid cheerleaders attempt to foil her; but the bigger villains are the script’s uneven characterizations and abandoned plot lines.—Helen Shaw
