Jeremy Tiang's bilingual play, inspired by Arthur Miller's memoir Salesman in Beijing, depicts the culture shocks that ensue when the playwright travels to Beijing in 1983 to direct a Mandarin production of Death of a Salesman. Michael Leibenluft directs the world premiere for Yangtze Repertory Theater (in association with Gung Ho Projects), with an all-female, all-Asian cast of six: Sandia Ang, Sonnie Brown, Claire Hsu, Julia Gu, Lydia Jialu Li and Jo Mei.
