Raisin

This musical adaptation of Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun won the Tony for Best Musical in 1974 but has disappeared into obscurity since. Now the valiant Astoria Performing Arts Center presents what it is billing as the show's first full production since its original Broadway run. The score is by Judd Woldin and Robert Brittan, and the book is by Robert Nemiroff (Hansberry's onetime husband) and Charlotte Zaltzberg; Dev Bondarin directs the APAC revival.
