Ars Nova and National Black Theatre join hands to mount the premiere of director-choreographer nicHi douglas's spiritual celebration and investigation of divine Black femininity: a self-described "sacred offering" that merges Afrofuturist surrealism with the energy of a Southern Baptist church service. The original score is by musical director JJJJJerome Ellis and S T A R R Busby, who is also in the cast of twelve that includes D. Woods and Tina Fabrique. In the interest of accessibility, tickets are available through a "name your price" system that starts as low at $5.
