Phaedra(s)

French force of theater Isabelle Huppert plays the title role(s) in a postmodern, de-Racine-ated account of the Greek myth of the doomed ancient queen. The text includes borrowings from J.M. Coetzee and Sarah Kane, as well as new material by Wajdi Mouawad; Krzysztof Warlikowski directs the production, which lasts nearly three and a half hours and is performed in French with English titles.
