Ni Mi Madre

In this solo comedy, actor-performer Arturo Luís Soria—inspired, he says, by the spirits of Umbanda ritual as well as the music of Gloria Estefan, Cher and Maria Bethânia—explores the relationship between a formidable Brazilian-American immigrant woman and her queer, first-generation son. Danilo Gambini directs the world premiere at the Rattlestick; each in-person performance will also be live-streamed for audiences at home.
