The York's Musicals in Mufti series, which offers stripped-down concert stagings of Broadway rarities, concludes its season devoted to lesser-known works by show-tune master Jule Styne (Gypsy) with this 1961 oddity about a magazine writer researching a story about the homeless. Featuring a libretto by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, the show is best remembered today as the subject of a classic publicity stunt by producer David Merrick. Stuart Ross directs.
