Kenny Solms's woebegone would-be farce, about an aging gay Hollywood comedy writer not unlike Kenny Solms himself, is a vanity play in vain. Although the large and mostly solid cast labors valiantly, everyone is defeated by the script’s shoddy plotting, unfunny writing and monotonous stereotypes; and despite Peter Scolari’s best efforts, the main character comes off as a selfish, histrionic whiner.—Adam Feldman
