Happy Birthday Jean Genet: The Festival

Thrilling, anarchic avant-gardist Jean Genet—the French thief-turned-playwright fascinated by the theatricality of identity—would have turned 100 this December, so Broomflower Arts celebrates with a lecture by Hadrien Laroch, a screening of Genet's Un Chant d'Amour and two plays: The Maids and Deathwatch. On Dec 19, the festival finishes with a party at miniBAR in Carroll Gardens.
