Each year, Broadway Bares trots out the Great White Way’s comeliest chorus boys and girls in a titillating super-revue to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This year, cofounder (and Kinky Boots director) Jerry Mitchell celebrates 25 years of sexy striptease for a very good cause. Last year’s edition of Bares netted more than $1.3 million, and this year it may top that. The theme is Top Bottoms of Burlesque, in which your favorite hoofers and crooners (150 of them!) gather at Hammerstein Ballroom on June 21 (showtimes at 9:30pm and midnight) to portray a mouthwatering cavalcade of divas, ingenues, temperamental directors and, naturally, sweaty stagehands. Here’s a sneak peak in classy, old-fashioned black and white, even if the Golden Age of Broadway never looked quite like this! More information, video and tickets here.
