Note: On July 10, all remaining scheduled performances for Enemy of the People were canceled "to enamble Ann Dowd to address a pressing family matter." All tickets sold to the canceled performances will be refunded.
The great Ann Dowd (The Handmaid's Tale) plays all the roles in this solo version, adapted and directed by Robert Icke (1984), of Henrik Ibsen's antimajoritarian 1882 classic, in which a doctor tells the unpopular truth about a town's main tourist attraction. In this version, commissioned by Park Avenue Armory during the pandemic, the audience votes at several key junctures to determine the course of the story. (Tickets are sold in pods of two to five audience members, who are seated together at individual tables; masks and proof of vaccination are required.)
