Encores!: It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's Superman

City Center's invaluable staged-reading series continues its 20th season with a look back at a goofy 1966 superhero-musical flop, with a score by the Bye Bye Birdie team of Charles Strouse and Lee Adams. Edwards Watts, the square-jawed adonis from Scandalous, plays the title role; Jenny Powers, David Pittu, Alli Mauzey and Will Swenson are among the cast, directed by John Rando.
