Decorated stage veteran John Rubinstein (Pippin) makes like Ike in a solo bioplay that finds Dwight D. Eisenhower, in 1962, reflecting on his life, from his childhood in Kansas through his leadership of the American forces in Europe in World War II and his eight-year stint as U.S. President in the 1950s. Richard Hellesen's play, directed by Peter Ellenstein, draws from sources including Eisenhower's letters, speeches and memoirs; after a successful run this summer, the show has returns for a second term.
