Before she went on to win two Pulizer Prizes for Drama, Lynn Nottage made her professional debut with this 1995 coming-of-age play about a 1950s teenager adjusting to the death of her mother and her family's subsequent move from Florida to Brooklyn. Colette Robert directs the play's first New York revival for Keen Company, with a cast that comprises Shanel Bailey, Jason Bowen, Sharina Martin, Natalia Payne and Malika Samuel.
