The tropical-themed pop hits of 1980s band Kid Creole and the Coconuts are at the heart of this new biomusical, with music by August Darnell (a.k.a. Kid Creole) and his brother Stony Browder Jr. The book, which traces the band's rise to fame, is by Darnell and Vivien Goldman. Angie Kristic directs the world premiere.
