Emerging Artists Theatre, or EAT, cooks up another edition of its platform for new work. This spring's Spark showcases more than 65 pieces over the course of three weeks, including new musicals, dances works, plays and monologues; most are presented for one performance only, with some short works grouped together. Among the dozens of offerings are Swansong Follies, a drag and burlesque cabaret; Kellyanne and George: An American Love Story (Mar 13), a political comedy about the diverging Conways; R.U.R. (Mar 16), a musical based on the 1920 Czech play that introduced the word robot; and Astor Piazolla: The New Era (Mar 22), a dance show inspired by the king of tango music. Visit the festival website for a full list of shows.
