One of the craziest twists in Paris Is Burning, Jennie Livingston's iconic 1990 documentary about New York ball culture, happened three years after the film's release, when of its stars—the insightful drag queen Dorian Corey—was posthumously revealed to have been hiding a mummified corpse in her apartment for 25 years. (The story was recently poached for a plot line in Pose.) Now writer-director Jeffery S. Jones presents a play that he claims reveals the truth about an incident that has long been wrapped in mystery.
