Time Out says

The venerable Off Broadway company, founded in 1985 by David Mamet and William H. Macy, operates out of a brick-lined former church. (It also maintains a second, smaller space called Atlantic Stage 2.) In recent years, the troupe has presented new work by Mamet, John Guare, Martin McDonagh, Craig Lucas, Jez Butterworth and Ethan Coen, as well as the musical Spring Awakening.

What’s on

Let’s Love!

As half of the Coen Brothers, Ethan Coen has been one of the cinematic auteurs behind such classics as Fargo, The Big Lebowski and No Country for Old Men—but in his spare time, he likes to write short comedies for the stage. Neil Pepe has already directed two collections of them for his Atlantic Theater Company (2008's Almost an Evening and 2011's Happy Hour) and was set to bring in another in 2020, A Play Is a Poem, before Covid interfered. With the Atlantic embroiled in a labor dispute, there's a fairly good chance that this one will be postponed as well.

Grief Camp

Eliya Smith's new play, which spies on teenagers at a summer camp in Virginia, was scheduled for January before it got delayed by labor pains at the Atlantic.  Now it resurfaces with most of its original actors—Arjun Athalye, Maaike Laanstra-Corn, Jack DiFalco, Alden Harris-McCoy, Renée-Nicole Powell, Lark White and Danny Wolohan—now joined by Grace Brennan and Dominic Gross. Les Waters (Dana H.) directs the world premiere.
