Androboros: Villain of the State

The first play published in what is now the U.S. was a three-act 1714 political satire by Robert Hunter, a Colonial governor of New York. Peculiar Works Project mounts S. M. Dale’s 75-minute adaptation at a building that dates from around the same time: the Fraunces Tavern Museum. Ralph Lewis directs.
