Ireland's late, great Brian Friel, who died last year, is well known to theater buffs from such plays as Dancing at Lughnasa, Translations, Aristocrats and Faith Healer. In this 2002 one-act, he imagines a meeting betwen two unhappy Chekhov characters—Uncle Vanya's Sonya and Three Sisters's Andrey—20 years after the events of their respective plays. Joe Dowling directs the U.S. premiere, starring Dermot Crowley and Dearbhla Molloy. Read the full review here.
