A Little Journey

Rachel Crothers's social drama—set on a Pullman car conveying a cross-section of Americans—was a hit in1918, but this Mint Theater Company revival doesn't make a strong case for it. The play captures a society in flux, and advocates tolerance, progress and freedom; while such a message is still relevant, the play's melodramatic style left the station ages ago.—Raven Snook
