This space-age spa made a name for itself with its signature napping pods in 2007. Now that YeloSpa has moved just four blocks from its original location, it’s taking its relaxation menu in a new direction by offering flat-rate pricing for the spa’s three categories of treatments (massages are $2.40 per minute, facials are $2.50 per minute, and sleep therapy is $1 per minute). When booking an appointment, simply arrange for a day and time slot (between 30 and 90 minutes in 10-minute increments) instead of choosing a specific procedure. After taking the elevator up to the 12th floor, you’ll immediately be greeted by a host at the front door with an iPad in hand. The associate will sit and chat with you about your needs for the session before leading you into one of the eight backlit, cocoonlike rooms. Those in the mood for a massage might choose a reflexology or lava-shell version, and the overtired can try a spin in the zero-gravity chair, which raises your legs above your head to slow your heart rate and speed up relaxation. Stop by the retail store to stock up on products used in the treatments, including Bach homeopathic sleep-inducing oral sprays ($16) and Eminence citrus exfoliating face washes ($40).
