Milliner Victor Osborne got major slack from Brooklyn shoppers when he moved his Williamsburg boutique to Manhattan. Eager to please his customers, the haute head-wear designer, whose celeb clientele includes Rihanna, Katie Holmes and Evan Rachel Wood, returned to the neighborhood by opening a 400-square-foot location. Like its larger LES sister, the minimalist exposed-brick space features wooden racks of luxurious, handmade hats. Men can snag made-to-measure fedoras, trilbies and linen caps, while women can find face-framing straw cloches, panama sun hats and fedoras. Though the headgear doesn’t come cheap—custom designs start at $250, fabric styles run from $80 to $125, and straw pieces are priced between $180 and $225—the craftsmanship and exquisite details (grosgrain bow trims, exotic feathers and metal hardware) are worth the splurge.
