When we first heard that this luxury Japanese brand was going to share a strip with Isabel Marant and Alexander Wang, we had a hunch that the merch would be on the same haute level (and price points as its neighbors). And we were right. The 3,200-square-foot Soho space features the brand’s own line—hawking contemporary styles, such as funky-patterned sweaters and jackets for men as well as tailored dresses and striped blouses for women that fall in the $200 to $400 range. Sure, these quality knits will cost you, but much like the irreverent saying engraved on the shop’s Various Projects key tags ($15): IT IS WHAT IT IS.
