Growing up in a family of antiques dealers, Todd Hase learned at an early age what it takes to make high-quality furniture. Now he codesigns superbly crafted contemporary pieces with his wife, Amy. The couple’s seating, for example, uses eight-way, hand-tied springs to ensure that chairs and sofas, which can be custom ordered in more than 350 fabrics, retain their shape. The price tags aren’t for the faint of heart: Bronze tables with marble tops starts at $1,600, a white porcelain lamp will run you $600.
