Head to this salon turned saloon where a $10 manicure (Wednesday through Sunday) comes with a free Blue Rinse margarita (yes, it’s the best beauty deal in history). Nightly DJs provide a loud punk-to-funk soundtrack, so you can dance the night away and score perfect digits until 4am. A Brooklyn branch marks the second in New York City and the seventh in the U.S.

Walk-ins at this salon are accepted as late as midnight Monday through Saturday and until 11pm Sunday, and the place stays lively with yuppie locals and even a few dudes receiving Swedish massages (60 minutes, $90) from staffers dressed in hot-pink uniforms. But Cleo's biggest after-hours draw is its basic manicures ($15) and pedicures ($35), the latter performed in one of 10 cream leather, massaging chairs. An exciting neon color-changing wall and cool music blasting over the speakers should help keep you awake. Call ahead to book an appointment after 9pm and choose from even more services on the menu, such as facials (60 minutes, $90) and eyelash color tints ($35).

While working during the day for Fredric Fekkai, stylists David Cotteblanche and Reynald Ricard started taking on their own clients in the evening at Cotteblance’s studio apartment. They realized there was a demand for a late-night salon, and now you can head to one of two locations in the city where clients can stop in as late as 11pm for cuts (starting at $75), color ($100 for a single processing) and conditioning ($50–$150) while donning a stylish denim robe and enjoying complimentary wine. And once per month, a live DJ is on hand to supply house music.

Shampoo Avenue B
Shampoo Avenue B
This small, genial spot has been an East Village fixture since before 2006, proffering upscale hair services that won’t hit you too hard in the pocketbook. You can get single-process color (stylist $80, senior stylist $100) and partial highlights (stylist $85, senior stylist $135) for relatively cheap. Bumble and bumble and Kevin Murphy products are used for washing and styling, with both included in the price of color services. Although Shampoo Avenue B does take walk-ins, there’s likely to be a wait; we recommend  booking in advance to be on the safe side. And since the joint is open until 10pm Monday through Friday, chances are it can pencil you in.
