Thanks to stellar designer collaborations and a new restaurant from chef Kurt Gutenbrunner (the man behind hot spots Wallse and Blaue Gans), this Soho concept store has much more to offer than the standard bling for which the famed Austrian company is known. While an impressive “library of light” displays precision-cut loose crystal beads in every imaginable shape and color ($7–$105), the clear stars of this super sleek, all-white space are the unique creations from nearly 50 international designers, including Jean Paul Gaultier, Jason Wu and Lulu Guinness. Arranged throughout the store in glossy display cases, the bigger-name pieces—such as Catherine Malandrino’s bold evil-eye cuffs ($970)—tend to fetch big bucks, but there are also plenty of cool, affordable baubles. Keep an eye out for star earrings from Ben-Amun ($70), Tom Shot gold pendant necklaces ($100) and glamorous cocktail rings by Phillippe Ferrandis ($140). Pick up jewel settings ($2–$12) and tools ($3–$30) and craft a one-of-a-kind creation downstairs in the sleek lounge. It’s easy, we swear. But if you’re not into DIY, order bespoke jewelry by customizing a piece from the ready-to-wear collection at no additional cost, or skip the store’s customizable charm-making stations ($13–$84) and head straight to Café Kristall’s loungey dining room in the back of the store.
