Among shop owner Mischelle Arcus’s favorite pieces: an Albarca duvet by Leitner ($1,020 for a queen size) and Chez M’Lain 600-thread-count hand-embroidered sheets ($800–$900 per set). There are less-expensive options, including a $250 set of Grand Hotel sheets, and Arcus points out that everything in her store is durable and machine-washable. “Most of my customers are young couples with children or pets,” she says. “They need bedding that will withstand use.” Plus, she only stocks items made under fair-labor conditions, so there’s no guilty conscience to keep you up at night.
